Social Program

We organized two activities on Wednesday (25.06) afternoon, both with professional guides:

Activity 1. Visit of Basilica di S. Ambrogio (at 15:00):

The Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio is an ancient Romanesque-style, Roman Catholic church in the center of Milan. It is one of the most ancient churches in Milan and one of the most important churches of the world. It was commissioned by St. Ambrose in 379–386, and contains various wonders of art history, such as  the splendid Golden Altar by the master goldsmith Vuolvinio (835 AD), the vast apse mosaic, and the chapel of San Vittore in Ciel d’Oro. For further details click here.

Activity 2. Visit of Pinacoteca di Brera (at 17:00)

The Pinacoteca di Brera (“Brera Art Gallery”) is the main public gallery for paintings in Milan, Italy. It contains one of the foremost collections of Italian paintings from the 13th to the 20th century, including masterpieces from, e.g., Raffaello (Sposalizio della Vergine) and Mantegna (Cristo Morto). For further details click here.
